Was offered Foreman Foresters job with TW Dalgleish & Son who were a large forestry consultants firm of Kilmarnock and whilst with this firm had charge of small and large dedication programmes for fencing, draining, planting and the marking and thinning of young conifer platations and preperation of timber for sale. In 1953 was living at North Lodge, Ballimore, Otter Ferry, Argyll. Married Isabella Brown of 34 Iona Street, Glasgow on the 14th March 1953 at Summertown Church, Glasgow. Daughter of the late Colin Brown who's occupation was a Riveter and Mary Brown (Nee McBride). The Marriage was witnessed by Andrew Morton Cleland of Altyre House, Forres and Kathleen Heatley of 92 Craigmuir Road, Glasgow. Daughter Cadrona, Helen born 1st December 1953 in Struan Lodge Dunoon
