Started with Greenham sawmills laying out new sawmill yard and disposing of old machinery. Put in new foundations and machinery and ran the new sawmills. Ran the daily runnings of the sawmill and supervision of staff alongside his employers Mrs Anne Gould who ran the office and Mr Geoff Gould who ran the employment and Health and Safety side. Had serious accident in 1987 when left arm was lost in a conveyor belt incident. Sawmill closed in July 1989.
